Duo Cham

Abdul Rahman Modawar and Nader Al Haj live in Avignon.

The first, born in Damascus, and the second, from Jericho in Palestine, they play together popular and traditional music from the Châm countries (Syria, Lebanon, Palestine).

Abdul Rahman Modawar, for his part, performs at international festivals and prestigious concert halls, presenting religious and Sufi music.

Farouk

An amateur singer, Farouk has been practicing French song since his earliest youth. Thanks to the group Chandalous of which he is a member, he rediscovered oriental music and performed some great hits solo.

The Chandalous

Created in January 2016 by passionate amateurs, the Avignon ensemble Chandalous promotes and transmits Arab-Andalusian music. On the occasion of the Palestinian Ten, the choir presents an anthology of traditional Arab songs and in particular from the Middle East.
